Ferme Bretonne au Soleil (French title)

Etching and aquatint on laid Ch Wittman paper, no date.

Reference: Morane 63. Titled “[La Ferme dans le soleil]” by Morane.
Morane only knew of a faintly etched first state. Our impression seems to be from an intended edition, after the whole plate was reworked. Extremely scarce, in any state, obviously.
Signed and numbered in pencil.
This sheet was previously mounted. Taken off the mount, but resulting in a couple of tears in the margins (both well away from the image), and with a few areas of fiber loss on the verso. Overall still in fine condition, with the etching having retained its brightness and luster.
