Aloha Airlines began service in 1946 flying a WWII surplus DC-3 as Trans-Pacific Airlines. It was the first airline in Hawaii to operate jet aircraft. Aloha stopped flying in 2008, but for over 60 years it was one of the top airlines in the Hawaiian Islands.
